State-of-the-Art Sleep Studies

After consulting with your primary physician, you may be referred to our center. If necessary, you might come in for an overnight sleep study. These sleep studies evaluate the quality of your sleep and help us diagnose the cause of your symptoms. A sleep specialist physician will analyze the findings of the study and prescribe equipment, treatments, or a combination of both that is tailored to meet your specific needs.

We regularly treat patients with sleep disorders such as the following:

  • Insomnia
  • Narcolepsy
  • Sleep apnea
  • Complex breathing disorders
  • Snoring
  • Restless legs syndrome
Do I Need a Referral for a Sleep Study?

A physician’s order must be faxed to the Sleep Medicine Center with the patient’s name, address, telephone number, reason for study (sleep-related complaints) and insurance authorization (obtained from the doctor’s office). Order forms are available from the Sleep Medicine Center. The Sleep Medicine Center will telephone the patient to schedule the overnight sleep study.

What Is the Wait Time for an Overnight Sleep Study?

The Sleep Medicine Center staff will work with the patient to find a time convenient to the patient’s schedule. The Sleep Medicine Center accommodates eight patients a night, seven nights a week.

Who Is Responsible for Assuring the Patient Gets the Proper CPAP Equipment?
