Estimate Your Cost

Price transparency is an important factor when planning for your healthcare. We offer price estimates for most services (shoppable services) and procedures within our medical center. Click here to get started.

Standard Charges

We support and comply with requirements by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to provide patients with an online list of standard charges of all items and services provided by the medical center. Click here to view the list of charges. The line item amounts are not necessarily an estimate of the amount due or the amount paid. The actual charges vary depending on a variety of factors including insurance carrier. We encourage you to contact your insurance provider when conducting any price analysis or comparisons. Our Financial Services Department is also available to answer any questions related to standard charges, specific procedure costs, insurance coverage, and deductibles. You can reach us at 831-755-0732.

Insurance

Providing access to our services is important to us, and we work closely with each and every patient to assure this. We will directly bill your insurance, health plan, or payor, and may ask you to pay deductibles/estimated co-insurance prior to receiving care. Please bring your Insurance/Health Plan ID card with you when you visit us. Patients without insurance will be asked to pay upfront, prior to receiving care. It is possible in some situations our Financial Councilors can assist you, if you meet certain poverty minimum guidelines.

Salinas Valley Health has many Health Plan relationships, including those listed below. If you see that your Health Plan is not listed, ask if we can reach out to them to negotiate a Single Case Agreement (SCA) prior to any services being provided only. If possible, we will attempt to contact your Health Plan and work on your behalf to be cared for at Salinas Valley Health. If you have any questions or special requests, please contact our Patient Financial Services Department. We can directly contact your Health Plan to discuss eligibility and benefits on your behalf.

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) & You

Uninsured patients have access to a new Health Insurance Exchange through the Affordable Care Act, signed by President Obama in 2010. Visit the new Healthcare website for more information about the Affordable Care Act. If you are uninsured, or if your employer does not provide health coverage, this Exchange gives you the ability to effectively comparison shop for the coverage that best meets your needs.

Covered California

Covered California and Medi-Cal may be viable insurance options if you are below certain income thresholds.
