Emergency Services in salinas

We Are Here for You 24/7

Salinas Valley Health Medical Clinic's emergency room is always open. No appointments are needed, although the most critically ill patients are usually treated first. The Emergency Department is busy, with many different types of illnesses and injuries treated.

Reasons You May Need ER Treatment

Emergency room care is for life-threatening conditions. If you have any of the following symptoms, go to the nearest medical center emergency room or call 9-1-1 for an ambulance:

  • Chest pain
  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Sudden blurred vision, dizziness, weakness or loss of coordination/balance
  • Numbness in the arm, leg or face
  • Severe abdominal pain or headache
  • Bleeding that will not stop
  • Coughing up or vomiting blood
  • Severe burns or life-threatening injury
  • Seizures

Check In From Home!

InQuicker is our online waiting service that enables individuals with non-life-threatening medical conditions to check in for projected treatment times prior to being seen by a healthcare professional at Salinas Valley Health Medical Center or another medical facility.

Instead of sitting in the waiting room, InQuicker users enjoy the convenience and comfort of waiting at home. InQuicker users do not skip in front of other visitors and are seen based on the medical center's standard triage and queuing process. To use it, simply log in, select a projected treatment time, and wait at home until your time to be seen.

InQuicker provides a projected treatment time and is not an appointment for treatment. Patients using InQuicker will benefit from having the projected treatment time and alerting Emergency Department staff of their arrival. Staff will work hard in all cases to see the patient as close as possible to the projected treatment time.

For less serious health concerns, visit one of our affiliated Doctors on Duty or Urgent Care Centers. Locations are listed here.
