Yang Liu, MD

About the provider

Yang Liu, MD, PhD, earned his medical degree in 1990 from the Second Military Medical University in Shanghai, China. He went on to complete his residency at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York in 2010 and a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2013. He earned his PhD degree in cancer research from the University of Maryland in Baltimore.

Dr. Liu is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in medical oncology and hematology. His background includes research and clinical trials as well as contributions to numerous professional publications. Dr. Liu and his wife have two children and he enjoys hiking and traveling in his spare time.

Dr. Liu is a Principal Investigator for Clinical Research and Clinical Trials here at Salinas Valley Health.
