Health Explorers

Exploring is a national program, established in 1956 through the Boy Scouts of America and impacts over 100,000 high school students each year. The purpose of the Exploring program is to provide real world career experiences and help students achieve success through leadership and character development, social and professional networking, and community service.

The Health Explorer Post at Salinas Valley Health Medical Center is an enrichment program for Career Pathway Program for volunteers 15 through 20 years of age. Educational meetings presented by health professionals are held monthly throughout the school year, with service projects and social events scheduled throughout the year. Events are planned by our Student Leadership Committee with support from an Adult Advisory Committee. There is a yearly due for Health Explorers made payable to the Boy Scouts of America.
