Salinas Valley Health Offers Three Additional Free Community Flu Clinics

SALINAS, CA - Salinas Valley Health is adding three free community flu clinics in November, bringing the total number of clinics offered this fall to seven. More than 830 people have already received flu vaccinations at the first four clinics held in Soledad, Gonzales, East Salinas and Castroville.

“Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for people to protect themselves and their families from the flu,” said Dr. Allen Radner, Salinas Valley Health President/CEO. “The strong turnout at our first four clinics shows the importance of these community resources. We’re grateful to our nurses and non-clinical teams who volunteer their time to help keep our community healthy.”

The three additional free flu clinics will be held at the following locations:

Date: Wednesday, Nov. 4

Location: Salinas Valley Fairgrounds, Expo Room, King City

Time: 3 to 6 p.m.

Date: Monday, Nov. 9

Location: Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County, North Salinas

Time: 4 to 7 p.m.

Date: Tuesday, Nov. 17

Location: Hartnell College Student Center, South Salinas

Time: 2 to 6 p.m.

No appointments are needed. Community members are encouraged to take advantage of these free clinics to get vaccinated before flu activity increases during the winter months. It’s especially important to be vaccinated as people travel and families gather for the holidays.

Salinas Valley Health provides community flu clinics each fall as part of its ongoing commitment to improving access to preventive care throughout Monterey County. Learn more at SalinasValleyHealth.com/flu
