Salinas Valley Health Earns Seven High Performing Ratings from U.S. News & World Report

Salinas, CA - Salinas Valley Health has once again been recognized by U.S. News & World Report, earning seven High Performing ratings in the 2026–2027 Best Hospitals rankings. The annual rankings recognize hospitals that deliver exceptional outcomes in some of the most common procedures and conditions treated across the country.

Salinas Valley Health Medical Center received High Performing ratings in the following adult procedures and conditions:

• Diabetes
• Heart Arrhythmia
• Heart Attack
• Heart Bypass Surgery
• Pacemaker Implantation
• Pneumonia

In addition, Salinas Valley Health was again recognized as a High Performing Hospital for Maternity Care – Uncomplicated Pregnancy, underscoring the organization's continued commitment to providing outstanding care for mothers and babies.

Among more than 4,400 hospitals and medical centers evaluated nationwide, only 43 percent earned even a single High Performing rating. Salinas Valley Health achieved recognition in seven categories, demonstrating the organization's commitment to consistently delivering high-quality care across multiple specialties.

The U.S. News Best Hospitals ratings are based on objective measures including patient outcomes, survival rates, complication rates, nursing care and other indicators that help patients identify hospitals delivering high-quality care.
