Alvarado Street Brewery & Bistro raises funds for the
Salinas Valley Health Foundation from November 18th to November 24th

Salinas, California; Alvarado Street Brewery & Bistro in Carmel is proudly supporting Salinas Valley Health Foundation's Healthy Kids Fund by launching a "Small Business, Big Impact" campaign and donating 2.5% of every sale from November 18th until November 24th. You can find them in the Carmel Plaza in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, serving German and other classic beer styles of Belgian and Czech origin. Their kitchen prepares most items from scratch, sources ingredients locally, and collaborates with nearby farms. Situated near the Salinas Valley, known as the 'salad bowl of the world,' and the Pacific Ocean, the menu items draw global inspiration with bold flavors that complement the intense beers.

Alvarado Street Brewery and Bistro selected the Healthy Kids Fund because children are our future, and they believe in helping give them the healthiest start possible. The Healthy Kids Fund supports different areas of impact in our Medical Center and across the tri-county area, including a pediatric medical needs assistance program that provides medically beneficial equipment and services for individual children, and pediatric community health Initiatives like the annual Mark Velcoff, MD Asthma Day Camp, and the Healthy Together program that helps to combat pediatric diabetes and obesity. The Healthy Kids Fund also provides pediatric toys, comfort items, and distraction tools in our Emergency Department, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, and Pediatrics Unit, and funding for operating support and specialized equipment in the Norman P. Andresen, MD Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Small Business, Big Impact was created during the pandemic as an effort to drive business to struggling small businesses while also supporting healthcare during a very stressful and uncertain time. Since then, while many small businesses are back to "normal" operations, they still seek ways to give back to their community, and Small Business, Big Impact is an easy and effective way to do just that.
