About the provider

A dedicated family medicine physician, Jim Toor, DO, believes in partnering with patients to support their health through education, empathy and evidence-based care. He is passionate about improving access to high-quality medicine in underserved communities with a focus on preventive care and long-term wellness.

Dr. Toor completed his family medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic and is trained across a wide range of specialties, including hospital medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, urgent care and women’s health. He is skilled in outpatient procedures such as biopsies, joint injections, dermatologic procedures, suturing and osteopathic manipulative treatment. His medical interests include sports medicine, osteopathy and chronic disease prevention.

Known for his calm presence and collaborative approach, Dr. Toor is also certified in basic life support, advanced cardiovascular life support and neonatal resuscitation, and is ACGME-certified in osteopathic manipulative medicine. He also has experience in research, with multiple publications to his name.

Originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, Dr. Toor enjoys weightlifting, hiking, and spending time with his family and friends. He appreciates the opportunity to serve the Salinas Valley region with compassionate, patient-centered care.
