A highly experienced physician specializing in both family medicine and obstetrics, James Lew, MD, FAAFP, has provided comprehensive healthcare to individuals and families, guiding patients through every stage of life.

Dr. Lew’s expertise in maternal health has allowed him to support expectant mothers with compassionate care during a 40-year career, while his broad knowledge of family medicine ensures a holistic approach to wellness for patients of all ages. He is committed to building lasting relationships and delivering personalized, evidence-based medical care to his community.

He earned his medical degree from UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency through the UCSF affiliate Natividad Medical Center in Salinas, California, and an obstetrical fellowship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, California.

When Dr. Lew first came to the Central Coast, he found he loved the people and—to this day—says one of his great joys is talking to individuals from all walks of life in the Salinas Valley.
