Cancer Resources Close to Home

A vital part of our Comprehensive Cancer Program is the Susan Bacon Cancer Resource Center, which provides patients with a compassionate and personalized experience. Through the support of our oncology nurse navigators, oncology social workers, and our oncology health coordinator, we provide comprehensive guidance, education, and outreach tailored to each individual.

Services at this Location

The Susan Bacon Cancer Resource Center offers patients, family members and our community on cancer diagnosis, treatment, risk reduction and emotional support throughout the cancer journey. The Susan Bacon Cancer Resource Center provides:

• Personalized nurse navigator support
• Social work support
• Support Groups and classes
• Look Good Feel Better workshop
• Wig/head covering program
• Hair donation
• American Cancer Society resources
• Cancer education, information and resources
• Cancer registry

Conveniently located across the street from the medical center, the center is open from 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday - Friday. Appointments are available. Please call 831-759-1951 for more information. Ample parking and handicapped access is available. 

Cancer Navigators and Support Services

Our navigation team is dedicated to supporting patients and their families from diagnosis through survivorship—connecting them to essential community and national resources, such as transportation, food, and housing, assisting with care coordination, and providing ongoing emotional support. We also offer support groups, nutrition classes, and advanced care planning classes to support the needs of our cancer patients.

Community and Foundation Support for Cancer Patients

We are grateful for the generosity of our community donors, who contribute handmade blankets, hats, scarves, and pillows. These thoughtful gifts bring comfort and warmth to our patients during their cancer journey. Additionally, with the generous support of our medical center leadership and the Foundation, we continue to grow our support team and the resources we offer to the patients we serve.
