Salinas Valley Health Names Iftikhar Hussain as Chief Financial Officer

September 5, 2025 – Salinas Valley Health announces Iftikhar Hussain has joined the healthcare system’s executive leadership team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Hussain has served as a CFO in Bay Area healthcare for more than two decades including recently held positions at San Francisco Health Service System, El Camino Health and Sutter Health.

Mr. Hussain has extensive leadership experience at large, complex health systems including Sutter Health and Dignity Health, as well as independent health systems. Known for building high-performing teams and developing strategic plans, he has led innovations in data analytics, financial operations, and technology integration to strengthen organizational performance.

Mr. Hussain’s work has been recognized nationally in the areas of cost management, creating advanced data driven strategies and investing in facility upgrades. Salinas Valley Health has undertaken a system-wide rollout of EPIC, a high performance electronic medical records platform to better serve patients and is in the planning stages of the expansion of the Medical Center’s emergency department, both projects which will benefit from Mr. Hussain’s knowledge and experience.
