Rakesh Singh, MD, FACEP, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and Vice President of Medical Affairs at Salinas Valley Health. With more than two decades of clinical experience, he has served in multiple senior physician leadership roles, including Chief of Staff, Vice Chief of Staff and Chair of Quality and Safety.
Dr. Singh earned his medical degree through the Dartmouth-Brown combined program in medicine and completed his emergency medicine residency at New York Methodist Hospital (Cornell Medical College). He has completed executive leadership training through the Chief Medical Officer Program at Emory University and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
He previously served as Chair of the Emergency Department, including during the COVID-19 pandemic, leading frontline teams through a period of unprecedented operational and clinical challenge. In addition to his executive role, Dr. Singh continues to practice clinically in the Emergency Department, where he is known for his commitment to compassionate patient-centered care.
