About the provider

Michael Zupancic, MD, joined Salinas Valley Health Clinics, Sleep Medicine Center in April of 2018. He earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College located in Chicago and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois. Dr. Zupancic completed his neurology residency at Rush University Medical Center and his sleep medicine training at Stanford University Medical Center.

Dr. Zupancic has a patient-centric approach to his medical practice. Understanding the patient’s problems and needs and discussing the diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment options with the patient is a priority for him. Dr. Zupancic has been treating patients with neurological and sleep disorders since 2002. His specialty includes insomnia, narcolepsy, sleep apnea, complex breathing disorders, snoring, restless leg syndrome, and parasomnias.

Dr. Zupancic has lived in California for more than ten years and grew up in Illinois. He was inspired to become a doctor early in childhood. In his leisure time, Dr. Zupancic enjoys spending time with his family and outdoor activities such as hiking. He also enjoys listening to music and plays the guitar and bass.
