Dr. Roldan, who is fluent in Spanish, believes in collaborating with his patients and medical professionals to create a treatment plan that includes preoperative preparations, surgical protocols and postoperative care to produce the best results possible.
An Intuitive-certified da Vinci Console Surgeon, Dr. Roldan has performed more than 200 robotic surgeries with the da Vinci Xi platform as well as other surgical procedures including oncological and upper gastrointestinal surgeries. He also has expertise in trauma and critical care.
Dr. Roldan gained his initial medical experience as a hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy where he served as both a field-medic and pharmacy technician. As part of his military service, Dr. Roldan implemented a prescription process that resulted in a decrease of approximately 35% in patient wait time.
A strong proponent of supporting training of future physicians, Dr. Roldan has taught numerous students during their third year surgical rotations and hosted their educational and instructional events.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys woodworking, Celtics basketball, the films of Quentin Tarantino and spending time with his wife and three children.
