About the provider
Lior Taich, MD, is a urologist specializing in robotic surgery and urologic oncology with expertise in treating prostate, kidney, bladder and testicular cancer. He also excels in managing a wide range of conditions involving the genitourinary system including female pelvic reconstructive surgery, kidney stones and benign prostatic hyperplasia. Dr. Taich’s proficiency in robotic surgery enhances patient outcomes through highly precise and minimally invasive procedures.
Treating each patient as an individual, Dr. Taich is immensely grateful for the opportunity to provide emotional support during difficult moments, whether that be surgery or a nuanced conversation regarding a diagnosis.
After immigrating to the United States at the age of ten, Dr. Taich grew up in Northern California. He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College and was excited to return to California for training. Dr. Taich completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in urology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Following that, he pursued a fellowship in urologic oncology and robotic surgery at City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Dr. Taich has co-authored peer-reviewed publications focused on prostate cancer, robotic kidney surgery, and female pelvic reconstruction techniques, and has presented his research at national conferences.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Taich enjoys reading about psychology and anthropology, as well as weightlifting, martial arts and hiking.
