Ilja Dejanovic, MD

An interventional cardiologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiovascular disease, Ilja Dejanovic, MD, is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care. Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology, Dr. Dejanovic’s specialized care areas include coronary artery disease, structural heart disease, advanced cardiac imaging, and minimally invasive interventional procedures.

Dr. Dejanovic earned his medical degree from Rutgers Health New Jersey Medical School, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine. He went on to complete fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center through the Zucker School of Medicine at Northwell Health, serving as chief fellow during his training.

Committed to advancing the field of cardiovascular medicine, Dr. Dejanovic has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and presented his research at national cardiology conferences. He combines clinical expertise with a compassionate approach, taking time to build meaningful relationships with patients and their families and helping them make informed decisions about their heart health.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Dejanovic enjoys camping, fishing, backpacking, winemaking, and spending time with his wife, children and dogs.
