Alexandra Shawo, MD, FACP, a board-certified internist, serves as a hospitalist at Salinas Valley Health. She graduated with a degree in molecular and cell biology from the University of California, Berkeley. In 2015, earned her medical degree at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at the UNR School of Medicine.

Dr. Shawo is interested in exploring the potential of precision and personalized medicine, which holds the promise of preventing medical diseases before they develop.

She is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
