Advance Care Planning
Advance care planning involves thinking about what is most important to you, as an individual, to help guide your overall treatment. An advance directive lets your healthcare team and loved ones have a better understanding about what is important to you should there come a time when you are unable to express this for yourself.
Comfort & Confidence: Wigs & Head Coverings Program
We provide complimentary wigs and accessories while you are going through treatment. These resources help ease the emotional and financial burden associated with treatment-related hair loss and reflect our commitment to caring for the whole person throughout their cancer journey.
Look Good – Feel Better
In-person workshops led by Look Good Feel Better volunteer beauty professionals who provide tips and tools for skin and nail care, makeup application, wig selection, scarves, turbans and hats. This workshop also teaches beauty techniques for female cancer patients.
Nutrition Classes for Newly Diagnosed Cancer Patients
For newly diagnosed patients undergoing treatment group nutrition classes add practical tips, cooking ideas, and peer support so you feel more confident and in control of your nutrition during treatment.
Nutrition Counseling for Cancer Patients
One on one counseling for oncology patients with a Salinas Valley Health registered dietitian. Nutritional counseling during chemotherapy helps you stay strong, manage side effects, and support your body’s healing.
Healing Touch
Healing Touch is a gentle, non-invasive complementary therapy that supports cancer patients by promoting relaxation, reducing stress and anxiety, and enhancing comfort throughout treatment.
Women Helping Women (Also offered in Spanish)
A women’s cancer support group gives you a safe, understanding place to connect with others who truly “get it.” It offers emotional strength, shared experiences, practical tips, and a sense of community during a time that can feel isolating.
