Lisa R. Kroopf, MD, an Interventional Pain and Spine Physician. She specializes in relieving both chronic and acute pain through a wide range of minimally-invasive surgical and non-surgical techniques She completed her Residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation as well as her Fellowship in Pain Medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, CA. She earned her medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, School of Medicine in Guadalajara, Mexico and a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of California at Santa Barbara. Her medical training is deeply rooted in a comprehensive, multidisciplinary (bio-psycho-social) approach, with focus on advanced interventional pain treatments, coupled with patient education and adjuvant therapies to optimally improve the well-being of her patients. She is dedicated to delivering pain care in a patient-centered manner, and her primary goals include the following: improving patients' quality of life and physical function, decreasing reliance on pain medications, and facilitating return to work and daily activities.
Dr. Kroopf has the privilege of serving on the Board of Directors for the California Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. She is an active member of the following medical societies: American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Board of Pain Medicine, North American Neuromodulation Society, Women in Neuromodulation, and The Spine Intervention Society.
She is a native Californian and currently resides in Salinas with her husband and two children. Dr. Kroopf is fluent in Spanish. In her leisure time, she enjoys travel, yoga and snowboarding.
